Emily - call me if you need clarity. Erin is doing this for Leg Press.
Lauren - something to add to your toolbox of training protocols.
This can be used when easing into (or back into) an exercise. The goal is to take the muscles to momentary failure without the additional stress of movement (and the eccentric contraction). In this case, I used 30% inroad as the setting on the computer. It is not timed so the participant can take as long as it takes however I've noticed in any exercise over 3 minutes long that there is a concern with mental fatigue.
The length of each repetition is defined by the client's ability to stay in the green. The pause between reps is measured by the coach (pause 3 would be a count of..."1000, one; 1000, two; 1000, three; Push") The exercise ends when the client is not able to get to the green.
Video about 1.5 minutes - the demo part did not record. Sorry. I'll likely re-record this.
PLEASE leave a comment. That helps me understand that you took and understood the training. And if the training was clear enough for this quick format.
